A Policy and Practice Guide to Supporting Bachelor’s Programs at Rural Community Colleges

This brief from New America outlines how policymakers and practitioners can help support rural-serving community colleges successfully propose, develop, and sustain bachelor’s programs that benefit their communities. Based on interviews with program and administrative leaders at rural-serving community colleges and analysis of state and regulatory policies, it also offers recommendations for institutions and states as they consider how to best support the needs of rural colleges interested in building new bachelor’s programs.
