Terese Craig is a Senior Program Officer. She is responsible for strategic grantmaking to advance Ascendium’s Support Learner Success strategy. With over a decade of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, workforce development, and adult education across local, state, and federal postsecondary systems, she brings a deep commitment to dismantling barriers and expanding opportunities for historically underserved learners. She joined the organization in 2025.
Prior to joining Ascendium, Terese served as the Director of Student Success at the U.S. Naval Community College, where she led strategic support efforts for globally deployed, active-duty students. She has also held executive leadership roles with Tarrant County College and Lonestar College in Texas, Harper College in Illinois, and at the local and state level for the Wisconsin Technical College System. She is recognized for her ability to foster and strengthen cross-sector partnerships, align postsecondary pathways with workforce needs, and lead transformative initiatives that drive academic persistence and economic mobility.
Terese has completed doctoral coursework in Higher Education Leadership at Edgewood University, and has earned a Master of Arts in Adult Education from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Concordia University-Wisconsin.
