About
Margaret diZerega is a Senior Program Officer. She is responsible for strategic grantmaking to advance Ascendium’s Expand Opportunity strategy. She joined the organization in 2026.
Previously, she led work at the Vera Institute of Justice to expand access to high-quality postsecondary education in prison as well as related work on housing policy and other aspects of criminal and juvenile justice policy. She has also held positions with Family Justice and Local Initiatives Support Corporation.
She earned a Master of Public Administration from the New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Williams College.
