Toya Wall is a senior program officer at Ascendium. She is responsible for leading strategic grantmaking in support of Ascendium’s Postsecondary Education in Prison focus area, which seeks to expand postsecondary educational opportunities for incarcerated learners. She joined the organization in 2017.
Previously, she was a senior program officer for higher education in prison at the Laughing Gull Foundation located in Durham, North Carolina. She has also held positions with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, the University of Cincinnati and Procter and Gamble. Outside of Ascendium, Toya uses her free time to develop strategies for restoring vibrancy to low-income neighborhoods of color.
Toya is from Cincinnati, OH. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Community Planning & Economic Development from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Northern Kentucky University.
